WrestleMania 28: Opponents for The Undertaker

After WrestleMania 27's performance. The Undertaker will go 20-0 at Mania next year in Miami. But who will be his opponent? Well, as I think it will be The Undertakers last WrestleMania and his retirement match, here is my opinions on who it should and shouldn't be.

First off, I don't think it should be Triple H again, and the reason for that is that we've already seen an opponent for Undertaker back-to-back in Shawn Michaels. I do hope they have another match some where down the line, maybe SummerSlam, but for another WrestleMania, I think the angle has already happened, and happened too recent for it just to happen again. I do think that Triple H is probably the best bet right now to get the go ahead for Undertaker at WrestleMania, and while it will be another great encounter, I'd much prefer seeing something new and fresh myself.

That brings me to Wade Barrett. He is obviously going to have a great run in from now until WrestleMania 28. Once he gets done with The Corre, he will quickly cement his place at Main Event level. He would be a perfect opponent for The Undertaker if you look at it as the new breed, the new rising Superstar, against the Veteran. Barrett should be highly considered by WWE as they did want to do that for last year at some point. However, I don't think Barrett would have been quite ready for WrestleMania 27 against Undertaker. If he has a great year, maybe capturing the World Heavyweight Championship down the line. Make him look strong against The Undertaker, then it would be a great match to have made.

The second person and as I believe it will be The Undertaker's last WrestleMania, I do think Kane's chances have increased. While WWE always switch and change on Kane's persona. The Undertaker still hasn't got him back for the Buried Alive match. Although I'm not 100% on the idea of Undertaker vs Kane, as we've seen it too often before. But with it maybe being his last WrestleMania, that should see Kane get considered.

Finally, the third person that I'd try to get, would be Brock Lesnar. He always comes out saying that he'd consider returning to WWE at some point, and it all depends on how his MMA career turns out from now until WrestleMania 28. They did try to get him for WrestleMania 27, but it was never to happen, and maybe another loss in MMA could see him leaving the sport and returning to sports entertainment. Lesnar was always a dominant force in WWE and if he came back, he still would be. I've always felt that he should have stayed in the business as he would've became one of the greatest wrestlers of all time.

The man who I wanted to face Undertaker would have been John Cena, but after Monday, we know that won't happen. Cena vs Undertaker at WrestleMania is just a match that everyone will tune in to. Also, with Cena in the Main Event of WrestleMania for the last 8 years, it would be a good chance that we'd see Undertaker in the Main Event also, as he deserves to be. How John Cena is portrayed on WWE, he would've been the one to come the closest to beating Undertaker. But after WrestleMania 27, I don't see how more closer you can come to beating him, without beating him.

The Streak is what makes WrestleMania what it is now, and it will never be beat. It's just finding a suitable and good opponent for his last one.
